Set in a sci-fi future where queer people, especially of colour androids are second class citizens fighting for acceptance. Janelle conjures a wonderful soundscape to enjoy this future in. Janelle switches genres with ease from the dirty rock collab with prince, given em what they love, to the 60’s beach-pop-esq-but-also-queer Dance Apocalyptic (my personal fave from the album). Its a interesting and exciting and super worth listening to
