Recommended by regulargonzalez I've never actually listened to Godspeed, I've vaguely aware of them but not in any specific way. Seeing the track list & length intrigued me; I'm very fond of Kaisiwa Daisuke's Program Music I so a small number of long tracks doesn't bother me. I didn't find this as good as Program Music … Continue reading Mar 21 – Godspeed you! Black Emperor – F#a#infinity
I saw this one recommended by @babylonian and thought i'd give it a try. It took me a few tracks to get into. T1 just reminded me of a bunch of 80's stuff i find super tedious. But once i got past that blip this is actually a really enjoyable album. Its upbeat and poppy … Continue reading Mar 20 – The shoes – Crack my bones
Recommended by quadrophrenic What an album name. I super enjoyed this rollercoaster of an album, it pushes and extends in a bunch of different ways that isn't always the most aurally pleasing but I definitely think it works. It's a mostly rock type affair with a lot of experimental bits and if the experimental bits … Continue reading Mar 19 – Thinking fellas union local 282 – Bob Dinners and Larry Noodles Present Tubby Turdner’s Celebrity Avalanche
Recommended by me Bis were, of course, the first unsigned band to play on top of the pops. The song they played back in... 95? 96? Isn't on this album but i've always had a fondness for bis. Their songs are downscale but fun, danceable and indie. I've heard eurodisco before and its agreat, bouncy … Continue reading Mar 18 – Bis – Social dancing
Recommended by rysticx This album was much more at a pace I got along with, it's a cooler, funkier album. It's also pretty lengthy at nearly 75 minutes long. Its definitely longer than it needs to be, but it's a good album so it's not the biggest crime in the world.
Recommended by rysticx I didn't like this album as much as I thought I would, something about the pacing just never fully clicked with me, I don't know exactly what I was looking for but it never quite had the aggression it could have had, nor felt as stylish as it could have.
Recommended by tea8loom A classic album, its one i've heard parts of before but i've never sat down to before, it does several things I like, women choirs, at least some of the tracks are upbeat, its moving and riviting, powerful in places and epic in others. I couldn't tell you without looking if its … Continue reading Mar 15 – Adiemus – Songs of sanctuary
Recommended by Grant Check out that sharezone cover, thats some metal fukken skeleton right there! Anyway, this dance-y album was right up my street for music to fly through space to. If you like this then check out Jan 18th's Dance with the Dead album which slots into a similar place musically. It's an album … Continue reading Mar 14 – Gost – Behemoth
Recommended by Suzan Sorry this album, I've had a headache all day so you are not getting a fair shot. Overall I found this to be a a good, but not amazing, album. it's pretty chilled and I've enjoyed what I remember of it. It's dinner party music which is something I struggle to get too … Continue reading Mar 13 – Frou Frou – Details
Recommended by Me! To celebrate my birthday I added an album in to the schedule from a band I super lik and also got a ticket to watch them live in June . One of the great things about Scratch or Stitch is you will know within five seconds of pressing play if you like … Continue reading Mar 12 – Melt Banana – Scratch or Stitch
