I have mixed feelings about this album, its an incredibly influencial album, and you can kinda see why but the ways it was revolutionary have, to some degree, been lost in the reeds of time. It’s obvious a solid album in and of itself, though the back half of the album has a load of psychedelia story narration gumph which i’m sure is great if you’re on acid or mushrooms or whatever but i’m not really there and just found it tedious.
The psychedelic rock parts are good, but if i wanted to listen to a story I have a big finish account, i can get stories on audiobook. They break up the rhythm of the album in a way i just can’t get behind.
