Feb 18th – Ghost Mice; Saw Wheel – Ghost Mice & Saw Wheel

recommended by Thylacinus

I don’t think I’ve ever personally seen an album split this way, the first half is folk-punk from Ghost Mice while the latter half is leans more into the country area from Saw Wheel. It’s a very solid offering with the first half’s idiosyncrasies being offset by the grounded last half to help keep the album from being too much of any one thing. I preferred the frenetic energy that permeates the entire ensemble, every instrument feels like it’s driving the song on and pulling the others with it.
