Man this album was fun to listen to. It feels like a quintessential indie album. Every track could be one you’d hear if you went to a local pub and a really good small new band was playing, everything about it has the grungy feel where it’s imperfections make you feel closer to the experience.
My personal highlight is the opening track, Elevator Operator, which is catchy and bewildering in equal measure. Courtney’s unique vocal flow gives the upbeat songs a constant momentum, filling the songs with an unusual energy that works especially well when counterpointed by the rhythms of the song.
